The booking agent at One Shot Express explained the entire process to me and made sure that I understood it before I signed the contract. I was assured that there would be no additional or 'hidden' fees and, indeed, there were not. I was a bit concerned about this because my eighty year old mother and her husband would be receiving the vehicle in FL before I flew down there and they had told me some stories about this that their neighbors had encountered when shipping vehicles. No such thing, everything went smoothly.
In WI, when the vehicle was to be picked up, the transport company experienced a mechanical problem (which happens), and were still very accomodating. They actually made arrangements to come out to the house to pick up the BMW early with their own personal vehicle and drive it to where the transport truck was being repaired. It was a husband/ wife team, also from WI in a city about 30 miles from Madison, they were quite nice and I felt very comfortable turning the vehicle over to them. They helped me be assured that the vehicle met with DOT requirements and got to FL on time.
I feel very lucky to have found One Shot Express, avoided that driving, and now my Beemer, my little dog and I are here looking forward to our new start!
