My husband called this company about consolidating our extended van into a large container out of Newark. They said "no problem", within two weeks of delivery it can be to Africa. They sounded very professional, until after my husband provided them their $600 deposit. They told him to take the vehicle, title, and shipping funds to the transporter in Newark, a day and half trip from where we live. But they gave the wrong delivery address. by coincidence, the address they gave us was a business that did on occasion ship vehicles to Africa, so they accepted the vehicle, title and $2,100 cash. My husband then departed for Africa. For three weeks, he called the place where he left the vehicle, but they determined they had no arrangement with 1World. 1World made no attempt to track the status of the vehicle, until my husband called them to ask what was up, the company we delivered to said the vehicle wasn't theirs to ship. 1World provided a different address on the same street, and the correct transporter then picked up the vehicle and the envelope containing the title and cash. Again, for three weeks my husband called to check on status of vehicle, only getting response "I'm still working it" from the transporter in Newark. He called 1World to intervene, but they said it was a problem between him and transporter. He then told the transporter he didn't believe he could consolidate the vehicle into a large van with other vehicles, and he would send someone to take the van, title and cash back and we would find another shipper. The transporter then said he didn't have the title, and we would need to send a duplicate. My husband pressed him to commit that he could in fact ship the vehicle out in two weeks if he had a replacement title in hand, and the transporter finally admitted that the cash we had provided for shippinbg our vehicle was applied to outstanding debt owed him by 1World for other people's shipments (they owed more to him than our funds covered), and even with title in hand, he couldn't ship until they provided replacement funds. When my husband challenged this, the transporter emailed 1World to have them acknowledge they new his funds were used against their outstanding bill, and that he would need to request a refund directly from them. They sent word to have him call them, which he did right away. They hung up on him and have not answered any emails or phone calls for weeks since. My husband took the van back, and another transporter has shipped it without any problem. 1World has ignored my hisband's calls and emails for three months as he was trying to resolve the delays in his shipment. Now they ignore his calls and emails for a refund, even though their debt to the transporter was the reason the van could not be shipped. The vehicle was originally delivered` to newark in mid-June, supposed to be shipped by first of July. It was only shipped end of October, only after taking it to another company. This company;s unprofessional behavior in not following up on vehicle status, not responding to customer emails or calls, and now not responding to a refund request, is deplorable. We`have shipped with three other companies and never had any problem like this.
