PROBLEM-FREE Transport, but $$ quote $$ not accurate

I saw that 1flat rate had the lowest listed rate (and best reviews) on transportreviews.com. I called him (Ray) up and unfortunately he quoted me $55 more than what the website said, but he was still the cheapest. After taking his time to explain the process and his policies (and listening to his super cool accent) I understood that I basically name my own price. I can low ball if I have a large pick up window to work with (I had two weeks), because obviously the truck drivers are going to pick the higher paying jobs first and take the low-ballers when they’re desperate and ready to leave. I felt really comfortable with 1FlatRate (Ray) so we posted my $900 ‘bid’ and waited for a trucker to pick up my vehicle.

PROS: No upfront $$ or deposits
>Took 5 days to ship coast to coast
>No damage upon delivery, just dirty
>All of my personal items were still intact
>Good ratings on transportreviews and BBB

CONS: The shady price baiting. Quoting me a lowball offer to get my business, then raising it for no apparent reason a few days later (the transport trucker only got $800, and I understand the broker needs his cut, but it seemed like he just got greedy and tacked on extra $ for himself because he knew he could get away with it)
>Picked up at the entrance of my subdivision- they did NOT pick it up at my house
>Not much contact or progress updates
>Took longer than I expected to pick up my vehicle, even after 1FlatRate raised the price on me
>The trucker with Soft Trans Auto that delivered my truck was alone, he asked for my help and advice...he seemed like a newbie and I'm not sure if he actually knew what he was doing

I would use this company again, just because I didn't experience any real problems, but I do feel like I was lied to.
