I cannot say enough about the most positive and effortless experience I have ever had in the transport of my recent purchase of a classic 1935 Auburn Boattail Speedster, Model 851 delivered from Las Vegas, Nevada to Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. As many of you who need to transport a vehicle, whether it be a classic car or daily driver, there are many choices in the marketplace to "provide" for your transit. The system of selecting a transport provider was an unexpectedly challenging task until I got the "inside story" and the absolute TRUTH from my selected agent, Mr. Ray McGlinchey of 1 FlatRate.com. He not only treated me with respect, but also made it very clear that making the right choice was much easier since he did not get a penny until my vehicle was delivered. As you will find out, many of the unscrupulous companies will offer a temptingly low price for transport, take a sizeable "deposit' and then over promise delivery. In fact, the way it works, as I found out by numerous calls and internet research, the process is very straightforward. Once you select a transport agent the price you have agreed to pay, LESS THE MONEY COLLECTED as down payment, that amount is posted on a viewable "board" at a location called "Central Transport". It is a place for independent as well as company owned transport vehicles to accept the amount available to transport your vehicle. You may get lucky with a carrier who needs one more car to complete his load such that he will take a low ball fee just to fill his truck, More likely though is that your posted amount will get much more attention, and more qualified transporter if the dollar amount is higher. I had a range of bids from $799 to $2400 for enclosed hard sided transport to my town. What a range for the same car coming from the same origination to the same destination! I do believe that with spending higher dollars you have more assurance of a more positive outcome. Having said that, and wanting the investment into a safe delivery satisfied, I decided that the lowest price provider would likely be the most frustrating and riskiest venture as low price has never typically been the equivalent of best value. As I got the range of prices, I found 1 Flat Rate to be both in the middle of the quotes but most importantly the only quote willing to stand on the premise of "I don't expect or deserve payment unless I can deliver WHAT I PROMISE! This is a very unique and almost too hard to believe premise for doing business when you see the boiler room tactics of the incessant calls coming from south Florida working to grab the deposit and post a bid so low that your car never gets any attention much less an earlier than expected pickup and delivery. In my case, Ray delivered, and exceeded his own promises for a high quality, safe, polite, conscientious, and professional transport driver, who had the highest quality transport vehicle with safety and protection as highest on their agenda. I was given the name of the driver, his cell phone number, the agency owners phone number, Lamb Enterprises of Colorado, and continual updates and communications from Ray himself, on both my cell phone, and my email, so that I always knew where, and what, was happening to my classic Auburn. I could not be more impressed or satisfied with either the process of the outcome of my decision. EVERYTHING went as good as or better than expected. The delivery was careful and the car was PERFECT. Email me and I will send you the video of the arrival and unloading of the vehicle or the digital pics taken at the time of delivery. I was so overwhelmingly pleased with this process that I could, and will, endorse Ray, his company, Lamb Enterprises, and all involved with the responsibility of taking care of my very significant financial investment in this classic car. I will recommend and use 1 Flat Rate for all of my future transport needs. You will find those that scoff or attempt to smear the promises of 1 Flat Rate. Their desperate and self serving criticism more certainly describes their limitations and untrustworthy business principles that lack integrity and pull down the trust of this entire industry than ever deserve or earn the endorsement of others. Self made positive comments on their own performance are difficult to uncover so as always, buyer beware. In my 30 years of professional practice as an eye doctor, I have learned what make the difference in the words versus the actions of those whom I respect. Based on that, and my own personal experience, I wholeheartedly endorse and have the complete trust in Ray McGlinchey, 1 Flat Rate, Kenny Lamb of Lamb Enterprises and all the persons involved at those agencies responsible for the flawless delivery of my Auburn Boattail Speedster.
