I spent hours searching for an auto transport company to transport 4 running vehicles from Western Wa.to Eastern Wa. I thought I had done my research. The last week of Aug. 2007, I found Car Movers USA and contacted them to move the cars by the end of Sept 2007. I was told to lock in my quote I needed a deposit and they would contact me with an available carrier. They charged my deposit on Aug 30th, I signed the contract on Sept 6th and called several times after that to try and coordinate with a driver which I was told had not been located yet. On Sept 28th I called and was informed by Anthony there was still no carrier available willing to do the job for the price quoted by Hector for $800.00 and that if I still wanted to move the cars it would cost an additional $300.00. He was willing to split this additional charge with me but still not willing to commit to a time frame for moving the cars. When I wouldn't agree to this on the spot, Anthony became extremely rude telling me "good luck" finding anyone else since he couldn't. I hit the internet again and found this website rating brokers and carriers. After calling down the list I found Eric with 1st Call Auto Haul and felt like I won the lottery!
It didn't matter that the cost was more, (total $1085.00) I felt a genuine honesty just conversing with him. Eric was right on my request and had tentative arrangements the next day. I was hesitant to sign on immediatley due to the situation with Car Movers. I'm not one to back out of a transaction once committed but they kept telling me they couldn't find anyone. I confirmed my cancellation Oct 1st with Chris at Car Movers and contracted with Eric for CSN Transport to do the job. Carl Berry Bear (owner/operator) was extremely courteous and friendly. (Bear was pretty cool too.) Carl informed me he could still see my previous request with Car Movers listed on the board so he called to confirm my cancellation before talking to me. He understood then why I cancelled by the way he was treated during his call. The vehicles were picked up on Oct 3, and delivered the same day perfectly. These people say what they can do and do what they say keeping you in contact through the whole way! The entire transaction was smooth and stress free, and completed from start to finish in only 72 hours. I wish I had found this site first. I would definately recommend both 1st Call Auto Haul and CSN Transport to anyone looking for a job well done! Thank You Eric and Carl!
