I had never bought a car that needed to be shipped before, until I saw a SWEET 87 Iroc with a killer price. Soon I learned shipping would be harder than thought. I live in mountain town, in Colorado, that is surrounded by major passes. I recieved many qoutes, anywhere from $600 to $1300, open or closed, for Ohio to Colorado. Very confusing, so we contacted the cheapest and paid the deposit. After a few days of contacting the company, every day, for a transport time, we realized that the cheaper we went, the chance that a truck would want to pick up our car was lowered. Well, I want my car! We contacted the company and explained that we could'nt wait, they cancelled our order and refunded deposit. Very cool of them to do, I did not think we would be that lucky. I then came to this site and did my work and research. For the best price and reviews, 1st Call Auto Haul was my pick. We placed our order online and waited... Eric contacted me the next morning. After talking with him, I decided to fly out and drive it home. My car is low to the ground and long. Eric explained the it would get pretty messed up in open transport and he would not do that. Enclosed transport was now our option. A lot more price than we wanted to pay. Eric also explained how it would be difficult to find a driver to bring the car to our door, with the small, winding roads surrounding us. He was VERY Honest with me and even recommended someone else who might be able to help us better!!!!Thank You for being honest and not saying "Sure, we can do that", just to hopefully make a sale! Eric helped make our decision easier, took alot of the stress out of this transaction for us and educated us on the shipping process. Will use next time as long as we are not in the mountains!!! THANKS ERIC!!!
