I was shipping two cars aross the country; the cost given above was per car. My order was a bit difficult. I was driving a moving van across the country, and wanted to meet my cars in Washington. However, I was making some stops on the way, so I needed the cars not to arrive too early. But I also needed them to be picked up before a certain date, because the people giving them to the carrier were going away soon.

This created a few issues, which First Call Auto Haul was willing to solve. The only reason I don't give them a perfect rating is because I couldn't get a hold of them at one point. The first transport they arranged would have had the cars arriving in Washington before I was there to receive them. This was my fault, because I hadn't told 1st Call about the restrictions on when I'd be there. However, when I tried to contact First Call Auto Haul, I couldn't get a hold of them at about 1 or 2 pm on a Friday. I called the carrier to cancel. After leaving numerous messages, I finally got a return call around noon the following Tuesday. At that time, they very nicely worked out an arrangement with the carrier to leave the cars in an auto storage yard for a day or two until I showed up. This new carrier cost an additional $45, and I was particularly happy that 1st Call refunded me $45 immediately and without any discussion, so that the final cost matched the initial quote.

So, the only issue was strangely not being able to get a hold of them for a few days. In the end, the job was done well, the cost matched the quote, the cars showed up when they were supposed to, and the people at 1st Call were extremely helpful and easy to deal with.
