First time transport experience was a good one.

I made a purchase on Autotrader.com with a private seller in AZ (because I couldn't find the specific car I wanted near home) and needed to get it transported back to MA because really, I wasn't about to fly out there and drive it home. I spent a lot of time here at Transport Reviews reading through various comments about different companies trying to understand how this process works. I identified a few brokers and carriers and went to their websites, asked for quotes and got automated replies via email. 360 Auto Transport was the one company that called me- the day after I requested the quote. They also had one of the better prices ($945) as I got quoted between $800 and $2,000 for this move from the various companies that replied.

I spoke with Pete and he explained the entire moving process to me and was very helpful and professional. When we first spoke he said he had a guy that could pick it up the next day which was really surprising to me. But then he called back later to say that it would be delayed a week because the driver had already filled his carrier and would be unable to pick up my car and so he had assigned a different carrier. I appreciate that he was upfront and apologetic about not being able to fulfill the original promise of pick up. Besides, the seller in AZ really needed a bit more notice and it worked out better with the delay.

So the car was picked up a day early. I was given a window of 5/5/09-5/7/09 for pick up and the carrier showed up on 5/4/09. Transport time was quoted at 7-10 days. On the tenth day the car arrived, intact and mostly clean. The rear of the vehicle was plastered in dead bugs because it was moved in an open carrier. That was to be expected.

The carrier that was assigned to my car was Freight Port Inc./ VIP Haul, a MA local company. I have reviewed them as well.

One thing of note that anyone will appreciate, is that when you call 360 Auto Transport, you get a person, not an answering machine.
