Outstanding Service; Saved the Day

After waiting for 16 days to get a pick-up scheduled with another broker I originally booked with; I gave in and decided to go with another broker. I contacted other people who had reviewed the original broker I had booked with who had 5 stars on this site but gave negative reviews. Turns out many people had similiar issues. Each person I contacted was happy to provide references to other brokers who can deliver what they promise. I contacted Gilbert, he explained how the price I was quoted by the other broker was too low and would have a low probablility of being accepted by a driver. He clearly outlined what the current rate is, stated exactly what his commission is and we established a price together. He then said it would probably take at least one day to schedule. In less than a half hour the car was scheduled for pick-up on the same day. Actually, in less than 3 hours from when I first contacted Gilber the car was picked-up. I had tolerated for 7 days the excuses from my original broker about weather, holidays etc when in fact they had under priced the job so they could hold a very high deposit for a lengthy period of time. I suspect they did not approach me on increasing the price because that would result in a negative review.

The issue in this transport was not money. I had purchased a car from an elderly relative who could no longer drive. The car remaining at the home was a cause of anxiety and depression because she was reminded every day of something lost from her life..the ability to drive and personal independence. When I spoke with the original broker this issue was made very clear; however they chose to ignore the personal impact and stayed focused on money. On the other hand, Gilbert became personally involved, while I was on the phone with him he called several transport companies, explained the situation and produced results; he got the car picked-up in less than 3 hours. I can definitly say if you are an individual without experience in having a car transported and need someone who will work for you as a person and understand your needs, I strongly suggest contacting Gilbert. After what I went through with one of the big name companies that does have a high rating, it is a real pleasure to do business with a person who's in this business to help people.

This site is a great resource, it is fair and accurate. Certainly, there are people like me who are dissatisfied with a broker who has high ratings; no company is perfect. But please before you book with any broker on this site, contact one or more people who have placed neutral to negative comments. You will be surprised how quickly people respond and they are very helpful. I wish I had!! Because of this site and ability to interact with other customers I found Gilbert; a broker who enjoys working with people and making things happen.
