When I wanted to transport a vehicle from SC to WA, I did alot of checking (online) of many different transport companies. All the reviews seemed to be horror stories. I was leary of all of the companies. I had put a request in online to be contacted by several companies. Karen @ A-1 Transport was one of the many calls I received. She sounded professional & calmed my fears. I decided to have my vehicle shipped by A-1 Transport. Everything started out just fine. The first scare was the vehicle was going to be picked up several days before schedule. Which I can understand because that's when the truckers would be in the area. (This left my daughter in SC w/out a vehicle for about a week). I agreed upon the early pickup. The trucker arrived a day earlier yet, leaving my daughter not being able to transport things in her car. (They showed up on a Sun, 8 am). The delivery was when the problem started...the trucker called the day before & requested a noon drop off time. I had rearranged my whole day for this. 7 hours later they called & said they'd arrive shortly. I can see an hour or two being off, but, 7? I was not happy. A call to Karen about this (before the trucker contacted me) & she immediately went into action :) When the trucker arrived with my vehicle, he requested $50 more than contracted. Another call was made to Karen (10:30 pm her time), she answered the phone (no automated system). She made the necessary corrections in the dollar amount right then & there! How refreshing to find someone so careing about her customers!! Karen made everything right. If you're planning on transporting a vehicle, PLEASE chose A-1 Transport. Karen, THANK YOU for being there for us. If we transport a vehicle again, we will definately be calling you!!
