an even worse ending.

Well I just got home from flying to California, picking up my vehicle, and driving 2341 miles across country to Florida.

After being told that the receptionist had no idea where my vehicle was I had a friend of mine drive by AA Auto transport to see if my vehicle was still there. Of course he called me back and told me that my vehicle was in the same place I left it on March 14th...right in front of their office! The vehicle had not been touched let alone moved to the garage like Debra told me it was. I was told that the vehicle was picked up on March 18th because it was in the garage and she hadn't seen it.
In any event I ran out of time, patience, and money (for rental cars) dealing with AA auto transport. I bought a one way plane ticket ($373.00) to California and used my spare key to drive my vehicle off of their lot. I returned in the morning to pick up the set of keys I left with Debra and my $400.00 deposit. I have to admit that Debra returned my keys and deposit without any problem (or apology).
I remember hearing that the trucking industry is being hit hard with the high gas prices so I am inclined to give AA auto transport some benefit of the doubt. I believe that they had every intention to ship my vehicle but mishandled my contract.
I am still considering suing AA auto transport for the price of my plane ticket, rental cars, gas for the cross country trip, as well as food and lodging for the 3 day transit. However this is probably unlikely because just like I said in my last comment post...

I just needed my vehicle.
