On November 4, 2005 my 1948 Packard automobile was picked up by A1 transport. Initially it was supposed to leave their terminal on November 11. This did not happen and they continued to give me several new dates of when it would definitively go out. Transport truck 119 was on the way according to them. Well a friend went and got it started for them. But it still just sat there. A week later my friend went to again find out what was going on. The car was put in a lot that had no security, no supervision. When my friend reached the car in Waltham Mass, he found the doors open, the hood unlocked, the key still in the ignition. A1- gave me delay after delay and outright lied to me. To add insult to injury they charged me an extra fee of 68 dollars to release the car. If I did not pay that amount they (A1) would not release the car for pick up. That was really irrelevant since anyone could have taken the car in the unguarded state it was in. Finally, on December 20 I got the car moved out of their lot to another transporters. Meanwhile of course the charge for this fiasco was put on my credit card on Nov 2 - and no we have yet to see a credit. This was an awful experience. Please do not use these transporters they are truly the bottom of the barrel. NEVER , EVER use this irresponsible company.
