Where to begin!!! First of all, the company decided to pick up my vehicle on a tuesday at 1500, and it wasn't until 2200 that they actually made it out. I guess they can't tell time very well. So thats when it first hit me, if a company can't keep a time for an appointment, then how are they going to get a vehicle to the destination on time. I did the whole "tracking your vehicle online" thing, but that was just about a bunch of crap. The vehicle arrived Richmond on a saturday, nowhere near how long they told me it would take. I figured i would wait for them to contact me, because thats what the website stated, then finally on the following Wednesday I decided to call A1 and ask them about the status of my vehicle. To my surprise, someone had fat fingered my information and entered the wrong telephone number in the system. Then they told me i would have to call A1 in richmond to set up a delivery date. I didn't argue, I went ahead and did all the leg work. My wife had to call the company in Richmond, and when she did they said "We have the right number, do you want your car friday". Of course we do, and then the guy said, "Ok then" click....he actually hung up on her. About this point, i am really ticked off!! Its friday @ 1930, and still no car, and not a single person at A1 can give me an answer, the company in Richmond told me word for word "I can not help you, please call in the morning". This was the worst experience with shipping i have ever encountered. I am in the military and have had numerous vehicles shipped, and have never experienced customer service like this before. I mean, i had a truck shipped to england and it took less time and arrived spotless and in perfect condition. If i would have seen this website before shipping my vehicle, then i would definately have gone with a different company. Dont be fooled by the company's website either, they have their own customer comments section, and they talk about the complaints as well. Its probably just some guy's job that sits behind a desk all day and types out good customer comments.
Take it from me, this is my fourth vehicle i have had shipped, and the first and last time i use A1 auto transport.
