Great service by the carrier - not bad on the brok

I'm currently transporting my Benz from VA to CA. I am using A1 Transport - 503-222-9822. They seem to be doing well so far (knock on wood!) - Since I requested enclosed transport, even though they are a broker, they found a truck/driver in couple of days. Although I was not there physically during the pick up (my dad was there), I spoke with the driver who picked up my car, did a good job loading, etc. It's been one week since the pickup and I followed up with the sales person who took my call and called the driver to find out the time of arrival. When the driver called for the pick up, I saved his cell phone number - which is a good thing cause the main office will probably not give you their number. I spoke with the driver directly and he gave me a better estimate of arrival (office said Monday/tue of next week - driver said Tue or Wed) So far they are nice and on-the-ball on the transport. They only took deposit of $150 on my credit card and I will pay the rest on delivery. Total bill was $1325 for enclosed transport. If anyone asks for more than $150 and $200 for open and enclosed transport, respectively, I suggest you look somewhere else!

Hope this helps.

I just got my car today - from VA to CA. He picked up my car on 8/12 and it arrived here today 8/24.

The carrier is:

Cross Country Transport
7128 Libby Rd. Plano, TX 75029
469-585-3744

The driver, Mike, told be it's waste of money to use a broker (like I did with A1 TRANSPORT from Redding, CA) Of course broker is sometimes the only way to find carrier. Carrier charges the same amount regardless it comes from the broker or not - you basically pay for the broker fee (which was $150, in my case)

Mike was great and I highly recommend this guy. He is courteous and flexible - cater to your needs! (he went out of his way to pick up my car when I need to be picked up earlier)

Deal directly with the carrier if you can. And don't go by any time estimates given by the broker - talk to the driver directly - he knows the best estimation.
