'Got Nervous' does not do justice to describe Amy Hommen. She not only booked her cars with us, she also booked with two other transporters as well. We kindly tried to explain to her, while we have secured a carrier to pick up her truck and SUV, the carrier is reluctant and skeptical to schedule 2 spaces on his load, since two other brokers are actively trying to move her vehicles as well. Carriers do not want to get to the pick up location, only to find another transporter has beaten them to it, after they spend their time, fuel, and effort in unbearable summer heat and traffic for a "maybe" customer; who is waiting for a better deal to come along from another broker.
We had a carrier to pick up both cars but Hommen did not want the carrier. She was baited, hook , line and sinker with Progressive as well as another fly by night company promising the world. What makes no sense is why the Hommen were so easily fooled by brokers that were poaching her!
Frankly, we feel the scam artist is non other than Amy Hommen herself! Expecting a carrier to come at her whim, while she has obviously made arrangements with 2 other companies. While shipping and moving is stressful in general, customers that play games with us and our carriers should realize they are only hurting themselves.
