More importantly, this company never fulfilled their obligation to us. Period. All they attempted to do was take our hard earned money! They took a $175 deposit to PICK UP AND DELIVER a car we purchased. And, committed to doing so by a certain date.

They were to have the car picked up by Friday June 1, 2007 and delivered by Monday June 4, 2007. They agreed to this delivery schedule and made no reference to fine print in obscure faxed document. They flat out agreed to our terms for pick up and delivery.

They not only didn’t deliver the car, they never actually arranged for the delivery. When they never showed up to pick up the car from the seller. We couldn’t get them to answer the phone for two days. Once we reached them they told us to call the driver they selected to actually transport the car. When we contacted the driver, we were told that AAA knew he wasn’t going to pick up and deliver the car and they needed to find someone else.

We called AAA again on Monday June 4, 2007. The car was still at the sellers location. We asked them why the car had not been picked up and delivered, why we couldn’t reach anyone for two days over the weekend and asked them what they were going to do now. They told us they would try to find another driver and arrange for the car to be picked up and delivered later that week. We said no thank you. We would find a reliable service to pick up and deliver the car. We asked them not to charge our card, as they had not done anything. They told us to dispute the charge.

We fulfilled our obligation. Otha and Carrie Smith’s transport company had a truck breakdown (fuel pump) and was delayed in the pickup a couple of days. The Smith’s had the option to wait for their carrier or have us locate another transport company. They refused both options. That the carrier had a breakdown does not make us crooks! That they chose not to wait or have us locate another carrier does not make us crooks! That we are closed on weekends does not make us crooks! Our fee was charged after our service was provided. The vehicle was dispatched for pickup within the order pickup dates. We fulfilled our commitment and offered to provide additional service – we were refused.
