We could not assist Mr. Sharma because he did not contact us at the time he was advised of the extra weight charge. Had he done so at that time, we could have spoken with his carrier to determine if the extra charge was valid. We did not withdraw from responsibilities – he did not notify us of difficulty until 12/3 – his vehicle was picked up a week ago and that was the time to let us know of a problem so that we could help. He agreed to the extra charge without ever contacting us so his statement that we withdrew from responsibility is blatantly untrue. When Mr. Sharma did speak with us on 12/3, we contacted his carrier who states the trunk is packed, is over weight and the customer already signed off on an additional charge. Though his carrier was delayed in the pickup due to the holiday, it is untrue that his vehicle was picked up 10 days late. His window for pickup was 11/14 through 11/20, his shipment was dispatched for pickup 11/14-20 and his carrier states pickup was 11/24. That is a delay of only 4 days not 10.
