Liars with East Coast Attitudes

Disappointed Submitted this review about AA Auto & Home Movers

I had just spent 20 hours driving through terrible weather in a $40,000 RWD car that had summer tires on it and was only about 1.5-2 hours away from home. The weather got worse closer to home and I was unable to make it. Instead of risk putting my new car into the ditch, I contacted AA auto movers (on the morning of December 24) and spoke with George Mazzarell. He made promises he could find someone to move my vehicle the same day but of course all I needed to do was to give them my credit card information and sign a contract. I gave him my card information and he said he would call me back in one hour and let me know if they found someone.

An hour and half later I called back and found out George had left the office for the day. When I got to speak with one of the dispatchers, he gave me all kinds of attitude about how I shouldn't expect them to get my car that day because they had 25 minutes before they closed. He denied the fact George had abandoned me. The reason he gave was because I was talking to him...but he didn't have any response to my point that I was the one who called him, not the other way around. He said I was wasting his time when he could be using this time to find a client who can come get my car. He was extremely rude, he talked over me throughout the entire conversation and when I asked him to call me back in 25 minutes when they close to let me know if he found anyone he said he could "try."

When I asked him why he could only try, he said he wanted to focus on finding me a client to pick up my car. I called back one last time 5 minutes before they were supposedly closed and there was no answer from the operator or from any extension. They clearly had no intention on following through on their promise of finding me a tow for that same day. All they wanted to do was to get my credit card information so they could charge me when they came back on Monday. I left 3 voice mails telling them I want to cancel the pickup. Monday morning, they attempted to charge my credit card anyway.

Luckily I had called the bank before that and told them to deny the charge.

Ultimately I rented a Uhaul car trailer and shipped the car myself. My opinion of this company is that I would never give them my business in the future because they do not understand how customer service works which is bad when you are stranded and relying on their empty words.
