STAY AWAY!

I hired Anytime to ship my car from Salinas, CA to Ft. Benning, GA where I am stationed in the US Army. When I hired them, they guaranteed me my car would be picked between Jan 3-4, 2008 and would take 4-5 days to ship across country.

1) Very Poor Customer Service
On Jan. 7, 2008 (3 days late – no call from Anytime), I called Customer Service 3 times and spoke with Peter, who was very rude and unhelpful, about finding out the status of when my car was going to get picked up. All I wanted to know was when they were going to pick it up because they were already 3 days late. His answer every time was "just wait, the driver will call you" – well, the driver never ever called. I was worried and I was not happy with his answer, and I wanted help with my situation because I was legitimately concerned about my car not getting picked up on the date I was told by Anytime. I asked Peter if he could specifically call the driver himself, and then call me back when he finds out from the driver when my car was to be picked up.

Peter said he did not know the driver's phone number, which made no sense at all, since the driver works for Anytime. At that point, I was concerned about the safety of my car if Anytime does not even know who is shipping their vehicles. Peter kept saying "I can't help you, just wait and the driver will call today". Peter eventually became so unreasonable and upset at me for being concerned that he HUNG UP the phone on me while I was in mid-sentence. Peter was so unprofessional and rude to me, and then he would not answer the phone anymore when I called back. After all of that, the driver never called that day and my car was NOT picked up.

2) Delivery Issues
On Jan 8, 2008 (4 days late), I called back again to find out the status of my pick-up. This time Peter immediately put me on hold and passed me off to a lady who said she would give me the phone number of the driver to call (which was not what Peter told me the day before). I questioned why I had to personally call the driver myself. I thought Anytime was the broker and was supposed to be the middle man, so I didn’t have to worry about shipping my own car.

I called the transporter and they told me they could not pick my car up until Jan. 18, 2008 (which would be 14 days late from what my contract stated for original pick-up) because of a delay with the truck.

She was wondering why I was contacting her company and not Anytime. She told me that Anytime never contacted her at any point to let them know that I was concerned about the late pick-up of my car. She also told me it could take over a week from the time my car was picked up in CA and delivered to GA. She laughed when I told her that Anytime originally told me 4-5 days to deliver.

My car was finally delivered to GA on Jan. 22, 2008, which was 19 DAYS LATE.

3) Damage
During the delivery of my vehicle on the open-trailer transporter, my rear windshield had been broken. There was broken glass everywhere inside my car, and there were stains from the rain that had soaked into my interior. I was very displeased and upset.

4) Contract dispute & Advertising Issues
I feel that what I was originally told by Anytime and sold over the phone was not what they delivered. Anytime was quick to take my $400 nonrefundable deposit and cash it, and once they got their money, it was obvious that they did not care about the customer anymore. I feel that Anytime did not fulfill their responsibility in making sure my car was successfully picked up on time and delivered. They did not make sure the customer was well informed about the status of their vehicle, and Anytime did not seem to care about the concerns and legitimate questions raised by the customer.

Overall, I was very dissatisfied and I would not do business nor recommend Anytime’s service to anyone. The Customer Service is rude, unprofessional, unhelpful, and unreasonable.
