Dave's a pro at this. He sent me a prompt estimate, and responded quickly to further questions. Transport truck arrived in the promised window, and the trucker was courteous and professional. My car arrived in Hawaii as promised, and in overall good shape.
I was really impressed by Dave when I asked him over a month after I'd gotten my car to help me acquire a proper receipt so that I could be reimbursed for the shipment. He had no reason to help me anymore, since he already had my money, but he went ahead and mailed me a receipt. Awesome!
As noted, items were stolen from my car, undoubtedly while on the Matson ship from LA to Honolulu. I was warned ahead of time to not leave anything in the car, so I'd only stuck petty things like candles and kitchen items that I didn't want to bother mailing and wouldn't miss. I don't blame Dave at all for this, he warned me! I hope the thief enjoyed the zip-lock full of unmarked tea bags - they're laxative tea bags. Listen to Dave - clear your car out!
