I bought a car on EBay for the first time on December 18th, and the car happened to be in Virginia and I live in Seattle, Washington. I filled out a form on-line to receive quotes from various vehicle shipping companies, and I was soon BOMBARDED with reply emails. I spent a few hours comparing all the different "quotes" and looked at some of the businesses on BBB and this review site. I narrowed my choices down to 3, including AAAll State Auto Transport, but was still hesitant since I had read a lot of general comments from people that had drivers demand more money than agreed upon delivery of the vehicle. On December 19th, I happened to call the other 2 choices before AAAll States Auto Transport, and I was not impressed with the initial customer service with either one. My last call was to Dave at AAAll States Auto Transport, who was absolutely FANTASTIC. He patiently explained how the car shipping business operates, and then he helped me come up with a resonable offer to get my car transported ($1200.00). He was very up front about how much would go to AAAll States Auto Transport and how much would go to the actual shipping company, and he also explained exactly what AAAll States Auto Transport would do to ensure the vehicle arrived safely and was properly insured during the transport process.
To my shock and delight, a few hours later I got a call back from Dave saying that he had already found a transporter and the car would be picked up in 2 days. He gave me a very realistic window of when I should expect to have my car delivered (sometime between December 28th and the first week of January), and told me that AAAll States Auto Transport would contact me with the truck drivers information once the vehicle was picked up. LUCKY ME, the car was picked up in Virginia on Friday, December 21st and I got a call from the driver Christmas Eve telling me he would be in Seattle the early morning of Tuesday, December 25th!!! I met the truck drivers (there were 2 of them) in a mall parking lot early Christmas Day, and the hand-over went extremely smoothly. We did an inspection of the car together, and then we exchanged the money, which was the exact amount I had agreed upon.
I would definitely do business with AAAll States Auto Transport again, and I will be recommending them to all of my E-Bay car buying friends as well!!
