Prior to contacting AFT, I had gotten quotes from numerous companies and read hundreds of reviews on this site (I am so grateful to have found this site early on). I had not so great experiences with two companies I contacted before AFT. One, Abby Auto, charged my credit card without authorization beofre I even agreed to their terms and conditions. I decided not to go with them, then checked my bank account and saw the charges pending. I then spent two more weeks attempting to get the money credited back, including getting Chase bank involved. Then, Hilton Auto Transport had my order for 12 days and had not scheduled my car to be picked up. That is when I called AFT who, within two hours, told me she had found a driver who could pick up the car the next evening or following morning. By the way, when I canceled with Hilton, Nichole from Hitlon became outraged with me, called me on my cell phone and told me I had wasted their time. Then she hung up in my face. Perhaps they are getting a little too comfortable with their "five star" rating because that was completely inappropriate.

Now, with respect to AFT, I was happy that the car was going to be picked up within two days of contacting them. However, the drama did not quite end there. The next morning (5/18), the seller called me and said that he was leaving town on Saturday morning (5/20). The seller and I contacted AFT and discussed the situation. I also learned that if the car was not picked up by Saturday, the seller would not be back in town for 11 days. Later, Faye from AFT emailed me and told me the driver would make it there for the pick up Friday evening.

Friday evening came and went. No driver. Messages were left on his cell phone with no returned calls. On Saturday morning I spoke to the driver who told me he would not make it to California until 4 or 5 pm, and suggested the car be left somewhere and the keys hidden. That was not acceptable, and the time was too late for the seller and he left town. I was therefore left waiting for him to get back. When I informed AFT that the driver did not get there, Faye assured me that the driver's dispatcher had said he would be there on Friday, and if they knew he wasn't going to make it they should have called her to let her know. She told me that they would not be doing business with that transporter again (Stockton Transport).

The seller was due back in town on 5/30 and I informed AFT of such on 5/23. On 5/24 Faye emailed me and told me that the car was scheduled to be picked up on 5/31 or 6/1. She gave me the driver's name and telehphone number. The car was actually picked up the evening of 5/30 and it was smooth sailing from there. The driver, Jay from Enterprise Transport, kept in contact with me. On 6/1 he called and told me he would be in Michigan on 6/5 and he was! On 6/5 he called to arrange the time for delivery and to get directions. The car arrived perfectly. He was very nice and his truck looked new (even though he said it was six years old).

AFT did everything they could to help me and Faye was very prompt and always stayed in contact with me. Leaving the drama aside, AFT contracted a very good transporter for me, and I believe they will only deal with transporters who they believe are reputable.

Hi Trina, Thank you for your kind words. I am sure had you or I ,both, known the seller was going out of town the pick up would have been completed as scheduled as the 1st driver was scheduled for 19th or 20th and tried to make it on the 19th upon learning of sellers plan to vacation on the 20th. As promised, Stockton has been removed from our list of drivers for non communication, per our company policy. Jay is an excellent driver, transporter and all around person as you mentioned and I have passed your comments onto him. We are glad we could help and hope you enjoy the vehicle. Have a great summer.
