The following is a copy of and email which was sent to Mr. Sullivan. on 10/16 giving the full explaination of the circumstances. Corrispondence with Mr. Sullivan was almost daily by phone. Also as a note, We are in business to move vehicles and move them effectively, if we do not move vehicles we will not make money.
Mr. Sullivan,
We are sorry of the events that took place with your auto transport. Your order was placed with Abby Auto Transport on 10/04/07 p.m. for a first available date for pick up on 10/10-10/11. We scheduled a truck to be there to pick up on 10/10-10/11. The truck was delayed and the driver became sick and was delayed from 10/12-10/15. On 10/15 a.m. we schedule another truck that was in the Nashville, TN area to pick up your vehicle that same day by early afternoon. This truck had to make a decision to route the truck into a different area and was not going to be able to pick up your vehicle as of 10/15 afternoon. On 10/16 we were working on scheduling another truck for pick up ASAP. We were aware at this time the situation was not looking in favor for us from your view point. We made several calls to trucks that run the route of your order and did have another one available that could be in Nashville, TN on 10/17-10/18 for pick up with a delivery by 10/22. As per your request we are canceling the order and will be refunding your full down payment of $175.00. Again we apologize for the delay in your shipment. We were up against some circumstances that were out of our control that we should have made you more aware of in our communication. Abby Auto Transport does ship over 200 vehicles every month with 98% of them going through just as expected with the customer. There are a few each month that we may have a delay or problem with such as in your shipment. Again we apologize for the delay with your transport. If you would be willing to reconsider using us to transport this vehicle, we would do what ever we could to try and make the experience a favorable one for you. Thank you for your patience with us in this matter.
