Full payment was made to Able Auto Transport on Aug 1, 2008 with expected delvery to be 2-3 weeks. I checked with Able a couple weeks later to check on status. Still no trucker found to haul the 2004 Ford F250 S/C shortbox. At the end of week 3 I checked again. Still no trucker found. Coming into week 4, I find that no trucker has accepted to haul the truck from MA to CO. The pleasant receptionist did say that they were going to lower their commision to help entice a trucker to pick up my vehicle. No luck. I emailed Able at end of week 4 and mentioned that I would be agreeable to having the truck deliverd to Denver, saving the trucker a haul up into the mountains where I was hoping to receive delivery. Never did get an answer. Called again and found that they (Able) had made no headway. At the end of week 5 I contacted a number of other companies, but non could deliver any quicker than 2-3 weeks. Finally cancelled the order at approximately week 6. On a plus side, they did refund my prepaid money promptly. Unfortunately, I needed the truck and had to fly out to Boston and drive it back, costing me 4 days work on top of food and lodging, airfare and fuel. In a nutshell, Able Auto Transport is attempting to gather contracts by lowballing most of it's competitors. Unfortunately this doesn't always work as natually a trucker is going to load his transport with the best paying vehicles he can find. Nope, can't say I'd reccommend Able Auto Transport to haul your vehicle.
