I booked with Freightcenter.com because their quoted price was slightly lower than a couple of other bids I received. The price went up from the 542.75 quoted to 776.85 because carrier said item weight was more. I shipped a small motorcycle trailer 200 Ilbs in an open crate. According to the Carrier the crate which was a sheet of plywood with 2x4 slates for the bottom and some 1x4 framing weighed an additional 200 Ilbs. There proof was a typed form not a weight ticket. There is no way a sheet of plywood, 3 2x4's and a dozen 1x4's weighs 200 ILBs. I contacted Freightcenter.com and I was told I could dispute the additional weight but before I could provide anything the additional $234.10 was charged to my credit card. Very disappointed.
