I got an online quote for a shipment, stating that it would not be on a pallet. I booked the shipment, then got an email a few minutes later saying that the carrier would not pickup the shipment. They sent me a revised quote for a little more than TWICE the quote I had used to book the shipment. Needless to say, I booked the shipment with another service, for a rate similar to Freightcenter's initial quote. The next day, Freightcenter.com charged my credit card THREE TIMES as much as the rate quote I had used to book the shipment. WHAT CROOKS! They even defend their actions as correct. Yes, their carrier did show up to pickup the shipment, which was already gone. But that misunderstanding was Freightcenter's fault for not canceling the order after they told me that the carrier would not pick it up.
