In this case a license plate fell off of another car and hit the bumper of Mr. Price’s vehicle, scratching it. The carrier told Mr. Price about this immediately and offered to have it fixed for him before it was delivered to him. Mr. Price agreed to this. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS. Always have the vehicle delivered so you can see the damage for yourself and have it noted on the bill-of-lading. F&S did try to have it fixed, but apparently when the vehicle was delivered there was additional damage. Agape doesn’t know nor does Mr. Price know if this damage was done by the carrier or the auto body shop because he did not have his car delivered to him first.
We gave Mr. Price F&S Carriers’ insurance information; we always have a certificate of insurance on hand. F&S did call us and told us they were aware of the damage and potential claim and would take care of this damage. We feel confident they will.
Because we do not own the car, or the truck it was transported on and because we are not insurance adjusters, all we can do is help facilitate the situation by giving the insurance information to the customer. We have answered every question Mr. Price had and replied to every email Mr. Price has sent. We will continue to help any way we are authorized to do so. We are very sorry about this situation. It is not the norm but this is exactly why we NEVER use a carrier that does not have valid and current insurance. We will ALWAYS have a current certificate of insurance on file.
