We selected Agape after reading the on-line reviews and talking with them over the phone. Agape was not the least expensive for this move, but seemed to be the most knowledgeable. Two of my show cars were moved, a 1978 Z28 Camaro that I've owned since new and a 2002 Z06 Corvette. Both of these cars were in showroom condition.
After the transport company showed up six hours late, my cars were loaded. They were scheduled for delivery three days later on a Friday. On the day of scheduled delivery, I called to see what time my cars would arrive. I was then informed that the truck broke down in Virginia when one of the shock absorbing air bags ruptured on the trailer and they could not get parts until Monday or Tuesday. I inquired if my cars were OK and was told the cars were fine, just needed to get the parts for the trailer (I just had a feeling something was wrong). I was headed out of the country to work, but my wife stayed back to accept the cars. Mid-day the following Wednesday the transport driver called to get final directions to my house. When the driver backed my Camaro into the driveway, my wife immediately knew there was a serious problem. When the trailer air bag ruptured, they must have continued to drive while the inner wheel well of the trailer contacted the tire causing friction which caught the trailer tires on fire. The cars were covered with fire soot inside and out. To make matters worse, they wiped both cars down with some type of cloth scratching the paint on both cars. My Corvette is black, so you can imagine what it looked like. The odor from the burning tires was intense, both inside the cars and outside.
I understand accidents happen and there was some risk when I let these cars out of my control, but I felt confident that these people move show cars for a living, I didn't contract with a regular mover to transport my cars. The disappointing factor was never calling telling us there was a accident and what happened. I called my contact at Agape and while she said she was sorry, there was nothing she could do. I would need to contact the transport company. I thought this was strange since she handled everything else on the front end. I called the transport company and the Supervisor basically said he talked with his driver and everything was fine. Fortunately my wife took pictures of the trailer which had the side burned out and a piece of new metal bolted on to cover the hole. I never heard from him again after I e-mailed the transporter and my contact at Agape the trailer photos.
Lucky for me I had good insurance. Grundy Worldwide for my Camaro and State Farm for my Vette. Both of my insurance companies jumped in and found someone to clean-up and restore my cars. I have them back after three months and they are OK, but they will never be in the condition they were before I entrusted them to Agape.
As I stated earlier, accidents do happen and if this had been handled honestly and professionally, I would have put a much more positive response in this area. I still wouldn't have liked that my cars were in a fire, but I would have felt better that Agape did everything in their power to make the situation right.
I will use a transport company to move my cars in the future, but it will not be Agape. I will also ask MANY more questions before someone else moves my cars.

We can certainly understand why Mr. Henderson is so upset. Anyone would feel the same way. Obviously, the carrier transporting the vehicles never anticipated a fire taking place. We have since been told by the carrier that a lawsuit has been filed against the trailer company for faulty equipment. Unfortunately this situation was completely out of the carriers control as well as ours. - As soon as we were notified of the situation by the customer and the carrier, we advised the customer of the steps to be taken to file a claim. This information was also provided at the time of their order in the terms and conditions they signed. Because we do not own the vehicles or the truck that transported, we are unable to file the claim on their behalf. However, we did immediately give them all of the information they needed. - We understand this was a very upsetting situation and we did our very best to provide all the information needed and to help facilitate communication between the customer and the carrier. We are very sorry about what happened but we are happy to hear that his vehicles were cleaned to his satisfaction. We wish Mr. Henderson and his wife all the very best!
