Slightly damaged trunk; discouraged to file claim

At first, I was happy with the service of All America Auto Transport and their sub-contractor Marvin Transport XXXthey were courteous, prompt, reasonably priced, etc. However, when I got one of our two cars, I noticed the trunk was damaged a bit and I called both Marvin and All America Auto Transport. The problem is that I didn't notice the dent till an hour+ after Marvin left XXXthe car was absolutely filthy on the exterior (from the road trip) and there was no way I would have spotted that dent without a car wash. Anyway, Marvin reluctantly asked me to file a claim with All America Auto Transport. However, I was told by Mike at All America Auto Transport that was a "futile" exercise to file a claim XXXthis was extremely disappointing to me since I have hundreds of dollars of out-of-pocket expenses to repair the dent on the trunk. This act of discouraging customers to file a claim is what completely turned me off from All America Auto Transport, which otherwise seems like a great company.

I am sorry to hear that you are turned off by what Mike had to say in regards to your desire to file a claim. Mike was informing you that since you did not sign off on the damage at the time of delivery that the carrier would not cover it. It explicitly states on our contract and the carriers contract that any and all damages must be noted at the time of delivery. If this does not happen the carrier will not cover for any damages.
