I purchased a classic car privately through a car club. I had to find my own means of transportation. I was pressed for time. The online form would not allow me to enter the correct year of the car (1976) so I entered the oldest available...1995. I received many emails with quotes more or less in the same price range but when I contacted 2 companies they increased the price once they learned that it was a classic car. Other companies just never even answered their phones nor returned my call with a phone message.
I was under the erroneous assumption that I had to choose a company that was located either close to me or close to the seller. After several days of frustration, I contacted All American Transport in Miami and spoke directly with Bob who honestly said "not a problem" about it being a classic car and reassured me that damage during transport is extremely rare as I could afford only open trailer and my car insurance company would not insure the car until I had it in my possesion. Within 2 days he found an excellent hauler near the car and even had to do extra negotiating on my behalf as I live in NY where there are ridiculous "length of trailer" rules. In the meantime his Dispatch Dept. sent very informative emails on car prep and car pick-up guidelines. The car was picked up on the day promised and was delivered early on the day expected. Because the bank was closed, the trucking company agreed to accept a personal check from me which was so convenient and most appreciated. It was the smoothest, problem-free experience ever! I highly recommend All American Transport company not only for routine car moves but for fragile classic cars that cannot be replaced. Love you guys!
