Don't Even Bother

I will never use All American Transport again. They fell off the ball big time when it came to transporting my vehicle. I am in the military and we needed to have my truck shipped from North Carolina to Alaska and have it waiting for us when we arrived up north. The only thing that AAT had going for it was the fact that it was that they gave us the cheapest shipping rate.

When we hired them, we specifically told them that the truck needed to be picked up on Dec 15. The day came and went and still no pick-up. We tried for the next 4 days to contact them but all we received was voice mail and no return phone calls. This was AFTER we had paid for everything. Finally on Dec 19, we get a call that someone was going to pick up the truck that night. Still no pick up. Again, numerous calls to voice mail and no return phone calls resulted. We had to leave the morning of the 19th and we left the truck behind. A friend of ours took care of the arrangements if someone ever decided to pick the truck up.

Just as we were about to cancel the credit card transaction, we were notified that the truck was picked up on the morning of the 21st. Our friend signed for it and it was finally on it's way.
The truck arrived later than expected but with no damages.

During our move we lost the paperwork that contained our invoice for the shipping cost. Because we need this for tax purposes, we have been contacting AAT to email us a copy. We reached them once and they said they would send it right away but we still haven't gotten the email. We have called two more times and once again, we get voice mail and no return phone calls.

Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the person was in charge of the shipping arrangements over at AAT. The experience we had with them was highly forgettable. Please think twice before hiring this company. They may be cheap but I would have paid more if it meant that I was getting good customer service and a smooth transport.
