4 State Prosecutor. Contact your local prosecution office and find out if it investigates consumer fraud complaints.

5. Local newspaper, radio, or television stations. Many local media outlets are looking for scams and fraud stories. They may have a cadre of volunteers to pursue consumer complaints.

Anyway, here's what happened to me:

This is a fraudulent company. I was moving out of state and called several months in advance to secure shipping for my vehicle. My first and subsequent contact at this office was Ms CLAIRE HALL. She proceeded to giving me the quotes of $795 total shipping car cost and breakdown of $245 security deposit and $550 due to the driver on delivery of the vehicle. To my surprise, she proceeded to charge my credit card on 4/25/12 BEFORE I signed an agreement contract. That should have been the red flag to stop all transaction, but I called her to confront the situation and she said this was done to lock in the rate of $795 for shipping. In fact, I had received another offer for a discount with another company and asked if they would match the discounted rate, and she said the reason those companies offer discounts is that they change prices on the customers at the last minute and that their company would not do that . She told me I see is what I get with their company. My service date was scheduled for Thursday June 28. This had been arranged several months in advance only for me to get a call the day before on Wed June 27th by Ms. PHYLLIS BERNARD who notified me she found a driver to ship my car for $1150. I was shocked! I told her my many phone conversions that had transpired with Claire Hall and Phyllis Bernard responded that her only responsibility was to find a driver and she was not responsible for my conversation and dealings with Claire Hall even though they both represent the company. I read this verbatim quote from their web site - "The utilization of a highly experience staff, with complete knowledge of the entire move management process." She still refused to help me or offer a refund. I asked if she had a superior I could speak with and Ms Bernard said she was the superior. She said the president lived outside the country and she couldn't give me his name, contact email, or business phone number. I called Ms Hall back and said she took my deposit, charged my card as a guarantee to lock in the rate. Her rebuttal was that the driver changed quotes on them at the last minute, Ms Bernard said it was high season. They made this reservations and my account was charged on 4/25/12, so they were aware it was high season and drivers rates ado not fluctuate that wide. I requested a change of delivery date from initial 6/25 to 6/25, Claire Hall told me she would take care of it right away and she changed the date. I was never told at any point during our numerous phone conversations that there have been changes to prices. They also told me diesel prices have gone up, which was also a lie, because it been on the news that gas prices have been the lowest (month of June I'm writing this) than it has been in the past 12-13months.

This company is fraudulent, charged my card before receiving my signed agreement to the terms and conditions, told a lot of lies and have been manipulative, waited until 24-hours to my pick up date to notify me of more than a 100% increase in the price, and when I reached out to receive my refund, said no. I hope they are thoroughly investigated and shut down for the fraudulent people that they are.
