Albert the broker was the original contact, we were unable to come to an agreement on the terms of the contract so he forwarded me to Carlos. Carlos was very knowledgeable and helpful and we came to an agreement on the terms of the contract. Carlos then forwarded me back to Albert to sign the contract and talk about the contract agreement. I was concerned when I came to the part of the contract that said the driver could ask for more money, I asked Albert if this was going to happen, he said it could but he didn't think it would in this instance. Thirty minutes after signing the contract Albert calls and says the driver needs another 100.00 to complete the job. I told Arthur I could not afford that and to find another driver, he said he was really trying to work with me and the driver wouldn't do it unless I came up with another 50.00. I really couldn't afford it but felt like I didn't have a choice so I agreed to it. I then called Arthur later that day after he sent me the new contract to ask what was his commission and how much did I pay the driver, when he told me his commission I realized that the driver was not getting anymore money than the first contract, Arthur on the the other hand got 50.00 added to his commission, I felt like I had been taken advantage of. The driver Dan Jones and his dispatcher Dawn (out of Thomasville, NC) were very professional. I gave the driver the extra 50.00 Arthur said he was getting after talking to his dispatcher Dawn who said they did not ask for more money on this job. Reached out to Arthur's boss Matt (co-owner) who did not return my phone calls after four attempts leaving voicemail messages. This morning spoke to John (co-owner) who refused to admit that Arthur had done anything wrong and continued to fixate on the contract Carlos had drawn up saying he would have never signed off on this. Instead of dealing with the real issue of Arthur taking advantage of me and lying, John continued to support him. I cannot recommend this company in good conscience. Dealing with John was exhausting and I want to warn other people to avoid that kind of treatment.
