Poor Shipping Experience

I called the company exsplaining that I had bought a vehicle for my daughters birthday. I explained that I needed it here by the Feb 15th. They said no problem. When 7 days had passed and the car dealer told me the vehicle had not been picked up, I call the shipper. Again I was told it would make it on time. It has now been over two weeks since I hired and paid Alpine up front. Today is Feb 16th, and my daughters birthday has come and gone, and her 18th birthday gift still sits at the original dealership; never being picked up. When i talked to the shipper today and asked why it had not been picked up as promised, this was his reply: "The person who took the order was a liar since they have no control over when it is picked up". Boy, that answer was real reasuring. Next I asked for a full refund, and i was told they would handle it on monday. So my review is not a very happy one. The company should have never told me that they could deliver it within two weeks if they could not. And the company should have put it on a high priority when i called them and told them the time was running out. The sad thing was that I could have flown to the dealer, saved money, and had the car here two weeks ago for half the cost of shipping.
