After reading all of the horror stories about about deposits being taken and services never provided, damage to vehicles, unresponsive brokers, tons of spam email, etc. I finally decided to choose Alpine to ship my car based on their great reviews.
I got a response from Dave on a Friday and he found a carrier to move my car on Monday per my asap instructions. Unfortunately, I wasn't ready to ship my car then as I thought I would be. Dave was very straightforward and said it could take awhile to find another carrier. Dave responded promptly to all of my texts and emails about my status and was able to find another carrier in about a week.
The carrier delivered my car in 6 days (promised 6-7). I expected the car to be filthy but, it looked like it simply sat outside for a week and had no dings or dents. The driver was professional and timely, unloaded my car near the freeway and drove it to my house (about 5 miles). I then drove him back to his truck in my car.

Pros-
No upfront deposit
Prompt responses by Dave to emails and texts
Delivered when promised
Contracted carrier gave an estimate of delivery 1 day out (4 hour window) and then a more precise estimate day of (2 hours)

Cons-
In hindsight, I would have liked to have received a copy of the contract in advance of pickup. The carrier's liability was very limited (this may be industry standard) and fortunately did not apply in my case.

I would absolutely pick Dave and Alpine Transport Inc again to ship my car.
