After I paid the deposit the person i was dealing with did not call me to give the status of the pickup despite my several messages left on his phone over several days. I had to finally leave a message to cancel the order because I had no idea what was going on or even if my car will be picked up or not. At that point the rep called me and asked for$200 more! I refused to pay any more on principle and vocalized my disappointment. The rep then decided to make some honest effort to actively market my pickup. He was able to have the car picked up the next night and said that he would reduce his own commission and offer the carrier more money. The uncertainty of pickup and then being towed along to the last day of your availability to hand the car over because you have to now leave for California and then being asked for more money is not a comfortable experience even if the car got picked up at the end. That is what happens in the 4th world countries. The car arrived late and had 104 miles extra driven on it. The carrier said that his rig was overweight and the car had to be driven and left behind in a certain state for it to be picked up by another trucker! That on top caused further depreciation of my car. These are the facts. Would it be any different with another company? I think it is all a gamble!
