AmeriFreight and Bob Turner were very helpful in explaining the shipping my daughter's 1999 Subaru Forester (I was a first time shipper) and worked with me to offer the best rate (I had multiple offers) for a very tight and difficult pick-up in New York (a 2 day window with only a parking lot manager to turn over the car). Bob kept me informed through the entire process and helped me coordinate with the pick-up driver (Speed Auto Transport). The pick up driver was also helpful in getting the car released...coordinating with the parking lot manager, getting the parking paid for and faxing me the inspection report from an adjacent U-Haul outlet. After the car was picked up, it was turned over to the long haul transporter from Speed Auto Transporter. For the next 10-14 days, Bob kept me informed as to the progress of the car. Then, sometime around day 14 the transporter had some kind of a problem and was stopped for repairs. Bob tried to find out where the transporter was and how long the repairs would take but couldn't seem to get that information for roughly another week...then the truck, which had been in California and only an hour or so away, was on the move. After a few "go/no go days" the car was delivered on the 20th day. Again, Bob was most accommodating meeting me to pick it up on day 21 and even gave me a "jump" as the battery apparently died shortly after unloading it from the transporter. I'd definitely use Bob Turner and AmeriFrieght again...but not Speed Auto Transport.
