My first experience with Amerifreight was very positive, which is why I used them a second time.
My second experience with Amerifreight was also adequate, but not quite as positive as the first. They gave me a quote, but the carrier came back with a counteroffer and I had to go up at least $50. The first time I used Amerifreight, they stated that I could put my belongings in the trunk and on the floors of the car. This time, the carrier told my parents (once I was already at my destination and had no control over the minimal amount of belongings in my trunk/backseat) that it would be an extra $100 to carry the car because of the boxes. Then the driver said, "How about $80?" as if the extra money was just for the driver's personal use. My parents didn't know what to do so they signed it COD, so the extra $100 was due upon delivery. The carrier couldn't produce any sort of contractual stipulation that the extra money was legitimate; however, I wanted my car returned to me so I paid it. Other than these unexpected expenses, the experience was good. My car arrived within the time frame allotted and in the same condition. Since it cost $150 more than I was expecting, I will probably compare other providers in the future, although my car was delivered in good condition.
