I did a lot of research before I put down my order with AmeriFreight, and the shipping experience was extremely positive. After collecting rates from many (more than 10 sources, from Transportreviews.com and else) shipper and brokers, AmeriFreight was my final choice.
Jorge was extremely helpful from beginning to end. I sent him an Email asking for putting down the order and finalize details on Friday evening. Jorge replied my call Saturday morning before 8am. Very prompt and straightforward: Door-to-door service from State College, PA (a small college town in Pennsylvania) to Bellevue, WA. I went with the expedited service as I was only staying in PA temporarily.
Jorge return my call on the following Friday (within the 5 business day time frame) with the good news that a slot is available on Saturday. I took the opportunity and contacted the driver (Vladimir, who is originally from Ukraine, from Motion Auto Carriers LLC). There is a lot of bad reviews online for truck drivers that originally from Russia, but my experience with Vladimir was extremely positive. He (and his partner) communicate with me very well and they have been on the job for more than a year.
We met at a nearby Walmart parking lot for pickup my Audi A6 (together with another customer's Subaru forester, we were the last two cars on the 10 car truck, which is huge). They did a thorough inspection, very professional. I was pleasantly surprised when Vladimir told me that they will arrive on the West Coast in 3 days. 3 days! From east coast to west coast in 3 days means Vladimir and his partner is driving in turns almost non-stop. I respect their dedication to their job greatly.
My Audi A6 arrived in 5 days, without a single scratch from this transportation and all my items in the trunk of the car was intact. ZERO miles added to my odometer. Perfect.
$1310 is a bargain considering the gas prices. As I said, I did a lot of research before deciding on shipping my car. Driving it myself will definitely cost more (considering gas, hotel room, not to mention time and energy, after driving that long you probably need to pay a visit to a physical therapist or chiropractor, jk). Selling it and buying a new one will most definitely cost me more money, not to mention energy.
Oh, I forgot to mention. Jorge gave me his own cellphone number when I was deciding on whether to take the Saturday slot (as it was pretty late in the day). This shows his dedication to his job.
From my experience, AmeriFreight got the best reputation for a reason. The driver they chose are very professional and honest, their price are the lowest in the league, and they did keep their time schedule (arrived in 5 calendar days while the expectation is 10 business days). I, as one happy customer, cannot ask for more.
