Due to the small size of the city I was moving from, my car could not be picked up from my origination city in North Carolina for the original price quoted. However, Amerifreight *DID* warn me of this possibility at the time I was making my reservation with them (but honestly, when your originating city population is less than 30,000 and is far from other larger cities, this is to be expected).
At the 7-day mark, when they were unable to find a driver for my car, they immediately informed me of the problem, and, in addition to increasing the bid price of the quote, I had decided to go ahead and drive my car to a larger city nearby where I had family. Within a day, there was a driver willing to transport my vehicle. Jorge with Amerifreight was extremely diligent and worked very hard to try to find a driver to transport my vehicle for a more than reasonable price from both my original and then actual pick-up city. He was in almost constant contact with me in regards to *ANY* development with my order. Both Amerifrieght and the driver were very accommodating when I needed additional time to drive my car to another city so that the transport could be made without any major inconveniences to me (minus driving it to another city). The driver was also more than great - working with me on the time of day to pick up my car so that I could work out a reasonable time with my ride (mainly to not inconvenience them), and he got my car to the destination so quickly! (My car arrived to my destination before I did!) And for $50, my car was able to be stored at a secure facility at my destination for up to 2 weeks - that's cheaper than leaving your car at the airport for even half the time, and it's not necessarily secure there.
I honestly could not have been happier with this service and have already recommended them to 2 other family members who are looking to ship their vehicles. I'll definitely be using them again when I move back in a few years. Thanks Amerifreight for taking all of the headache out of at least THIS PART of what is a life-changing move.
