Dramatic process, but car shipped at the end.

Initially, my agent put the wrong first available date. But eventually, they managed to get the car shipped at the very same day of my flight to CA (7/16/2013). The price was very high because until 7/15, still no carrier was assigned. So I had to increase the price drastically to attract a carrier to pick up my car on the last day. To their credit, AmeriFreight also lowered the deposit from $250 to $100. Otherwise the total cost would have been $1750. Overall, a very dramatic experience since I was very anxious about having to leave the car in NJ and fly to CA. But at the end of the day, the car was shipped, and that was my bottom line although I certainly wished my first available date was never incorrect and the total cost could be lower than $1300, which I thought was a reasonable median price.
