I had never had a car shipped before, and was extremely hesitant to trust anybody after reading all the reviews people were leaving for various companies, there were a lot of horror stories. I googled what the best car transport companies were and kept getting hits for Amerifreight. I did the research and they had good reviews, plus were one of the few listed with the Better Business Bureau. Any worries I had were erased after calling and setting up the transaction with Bob. He took the time to explain in detail the whole process and what options were available. What I liked was the deposit is not charged until the transport order is booked with a carrier, so until that happens you don't pay anything. I went with the mid-level plan, with a 75% chance of pickup within 5 days of first date available for pickup. Car ended up being picked up on the 5th day, which I was okay with, still within parameters of the contract. I would recommend a Monday or Tuesday first available pickup as opposed to Thursday or Friday if you want to up your chances for pickup within the first couple days, of course that also depends on which plan you pick, you do get what you pay for, the more carrier pay you offer, the more likely your car is to get dispatched quickly. My car was delivered from Pennsylvania to Arizona with no incident in 7 days. The carrier that was dispatched was professional and friendly. Total cost was $1465, and with that I had peace of mind that my car was being handled by competent professionals, which it was. Other companies may advertise cheaper, but you really do get what you pay for. Your carrier pay has to be competitive and enticing to the carrier, otherwise your car may sit and sit and be passed on for higher paying jobs. Bob was right on the money in explaining all this, and if you're like me your car is worth the extra care. Amerifreight delivered on everything advertised, and my car was transported across the country without incident. Will do business again if I have auto transport needs.
