AmeriFreight was prompt, courteous, and provided an overall great experience. They explained how the industry worked and connected me with a good shipping company. I would definitely use their service again. But, just to be clear: this is a unique industry. Companies like AmeriFreight act as middlemen and connect you with a shipper who actually picks up and delivers your car. AmeriFreight charges a pretty steep fee simply for contacting the shippers, but there's really no other way. For example, my total cost of $1,395 was $395 to AmeriFreight and the other $1000 IN CASH to the driver upon delivery of the car. The car made it without damage and on time to my destination, but man was it dirty from traveling on the back of an exposed truck. The cash payment thing was shady, but honestly, it all worked out, and if ~400 bucks to some middle man company is the cost of doing business in this industry, I would do it again. Bottom line: I was told upfront what it would cost and who I would be paying what. I called on a Tuesday, the car was picked up two days later and delivered on time the following week across the country without any damage whatsoever.
