Initial quote and bid:
This was my first time using an automotive shipping company. Bob contacted me and explained everything to me so I had a solid understanding of the entire process. I started out with the cheapest rate and hoped a driver would take the bid and haul my heavy old truck across the country. Graham contacted me and told me a driver offered to take the bid but at the next rate up for shipping. I was completely ok with it since Bob had explained earlier the heavier the vehicle the more it might cost. The reason for this is because the driver can only carry so much weight and is more inclined to take more lightweight cars over a few heavy ones.
Pick up:
My grandfather was the one sending me the truck and I wanted this to be as simple an painless as possible for him. They did a great job coordinating with him to pick up the vehicle. The driver was polite, professional, and very helpful getting the vehicle. My Grandfather relayed me the driver's contact information and told me the driver would call the day prior to the delivery date to set up the drop off.
Delivery:
The driver made excellent time delivering the truck. The normal estimate for a cross country shipment is five to seven days. He made if here in just four! He called ahead of time and we worked out the details. The only minor issue we had was he was not able to bring the vehicle on base. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but the vehicle was on an off road/non operational title status. Once again though the driver worked with me. We set up a location right off base where I was able to tow the vehicle on base with no issues.
Overall:
They did an awesome job in all phases of the shipment. I would highly recommend this company and will likely use them in the future when it comes time for the military to move me again. Don't be afraid to ask questions, all the people I talked to were very patient and made sure I knew exactly what was going on so there was no confusion. Hopefully this helps clarify a few things for others looking for the same service.
