Things that did not go well:
- I would call every few days to inquire about the status of my order, and every time was told that they would look into it, make some phone calls, and give me a call back. Never called me (except when a carrier was finally found), and then I would have to call back again after a few days. I would've appreciated a phone call or an email every few days to keep me updated on the status.
- not very friendly on the phone; representative came across as annoyed and in a rush to get off the phone; our conversations were usually less than a few minutes. I did not like calling.
- my original bid was $1000 to have my car ship from Michigan to California. After a week with no offers, I increased it to $1200. $1200 was the original quote I was given if I wanted my car shipped fast. I ended up paying $1350 (+$150 to the trucker for shipping my stuff in the car). It took about 2 weeks from the time I made my original bid to the time they found a carrier. While I understand that sometimes it's hard to find a carrier - I felt like I paid too much considering that my car is an old used car already and that it took too long to ship my car. Other people that I've spoken to who have shipped their car the same distance as I was paid around $1000.
Things that went well:
- after a carrier was found, it only 5 days for my car to arrive.
Overall, I did not get the kind of experience that other reviews seemed to rave about. I felt like it was just another business transaction for them - I didn't feel like much thought or care really went into my order. But they did do their job, and I got out of it what I needed - which was to have my car shipped. I would not mind using them again now that I'm better informed on how the process works, but I might also try another company for comparison.
