I had to ship my vehicle from CA to MA, and had a specific window in which the car could be picked up. Amerifreight worked with me to choose an appropriately offered rate that could offer the 3-day window I needed, and actually found a carrier for me later that morning (by lunchtime-this was on the Monday before the weekend when I needed the car picked up). They encouraged me to open communication lines with the selected carrier, CAA transport, which I promptly did, as CAA's reviews were all very old on most sites, or had insufficient volume to convince me one way or another.
The day before the shipper came, CAA called to alert me they could pick up my car early. A day before the 3-day window. Thankfully I was able to work with that scenario and ended up waiting most of the afternoon for the pickup (GPS issues delayed it a bit).
The car was delivered a day later than the original quote, but still well before the 14 days long estimate of SW to NE shipment route (the shipper wanted to be gone before the latest batch of snow hit). The car was a bit dirty (was riding on top and lots of birds were on the way), but everything was functional and no damage was accrued on interior or exterior during the ride (my biggest concern). The CAA drivers were all very friendly and accommodating.
All throughout the process Amerifreight was very willing to take my calls and answer any questions I had (and I did have a few, as this was my first time shipping a car cross-country). They checked up regularly via calls, and made sure the experience was as smooth as could be expected. If I need a car shipped, or if a friend is looking for a reputable company to ship theirs, I would recommend Amerifreight to get the job done with a minimum of fuss.
