We were setting out as a group of 4 individuals (5 cars) doing a company move from SJ, CA to ATL, GA. We got several car shipment bids and we found AmeriFreight was the cheapest. While I know cheaper is sometimes not the best, I did my homework on the review sites and found that not only where they the cheapest, but they were also one of the highest rated companies. I felt great about that.
From the time I first spoke with Jorge at AmeriFreight on the initial call through delivery of the vehicles he was extremely helpful and honest in earning our business. He quickly posted our load and had a bite within the first 24 hours. He negotiated with the driver successfully our dates and the rate even lower. His follow-up was dilligent and he always did what he said he was going to do in a timely manner.
On the scheduled day of pick-up, our driver was an hour or so late, but made up for it with his thoroughness and his careful approach to loading our vehicles. I appreciated his time. My phone rang and it was Jorge checking to make sure everything went smoothly. I assured him that it had. I thought that that was nice of Jorge to follow-up.
Our driver Anthony made it to ATL in 4 days and the hauler held our cars because we hadn't actually made it there yet... the cars beat us!
The cars were all undamaged, but dirty as expected and forewarned.
All in all I think next time I will try to go straight through a driver vs. using a company because of the added fees/commissions earned, but AmeriFreight does deserve credit for providing us with a reliable and friendly driver.
Would recommend them again to anyone.
