I bought a Subaru Brat and submitted a request on Transportreviews.com for a muti-quote. I first called a company with a lower bid of $510, but was told the quote was incorrect and the actual quote went up by twice the original to $1050. This company seemed highly rated and I am savvy because I have shipped before (could not get a call back from the other company I had used in the past). When I called AmeriFreight they said they would honor their quote of $875, but were honest and told me up front that it could be more depending on the offers they got for transportation. Within a short time I got a call the same day to schedule the delivery which was much less of an increase above their quote compared to that of the other company and it was an enclosed carrier which was a happy surprise (an increase of only $175). It ended up being the same amount which was a fair price, but I would rather pay someone who is honest with me than someone who leaves a vulgar message on my voicemail because I did not choose them. The driver kept me up to date and delivered when he said he would. I would highly recommend this company even if the quote might be a little more (you get what you pay for and sometime less) and I researched their history which is more extensive than the rest. I was well treated and did not have to deal with a pushy broker. Thanks for the great service and when my car is restored I will be calling back again.
