I have never had a vehicle shipped before & didn't have much of an idea of what to expect. I informed the amerifreight representative of this. I bought a vehicle for a restoration/project. No one seemed to have a concrete idea what the wait would be. They said they would call me & let me know when they had a carrier. I called after approximately a week them to get the same information that they didn't know when the estimated time would be, nor could they even give me an idea if I would be waiting weeks, months or indefinitely. This was due to the vehicle being inoperable, which was information I had given when filling out the form for my quote. After the second week passed I called again & I am assuming out if frustration they called & had someone go get it for a much higher than quoted price. I was not calling to be a nuisance, but only to get information. I called after the initial set up twice both after waiting about a week & because I was not called when they said they would call me, which I waited two days after the day they said they'd call me before calling them. The carrier that delivered the truck was very helpful & provided stellar service. I now have the truck, no harm no foul. Knowing what I know now, I would rather pick the vehicle up myself & spend the extra money on the vehicle or parts for the restoration.
