Let me start by saying that there were some hiccups during the delivery process, but overall I am supremely impressed with the level of courtesy and professionalism I experienced with this company. I needed my car to be transported from NY to CA for as cheap as possible. Since Amerifreight's price was comparable to the others with some of the best ratings and reviews I had seen I chose to go with them. The car was picked up promptly as promised. I was not in NY so I left the keys with my wife and conducted the transfer over the phone from CA which was seamless!!!
I received a call 4 days later telling me that my car was in CA and ready to be delivered! I had given them my work address since I thought I would be at work 5 days later when the car was due to arrive. I was actually moving out of my previous home when they called and going to stay at a hotel for a few days until my new place was ready to move in. I didn't know which address to give so I asked the driver to bring it to me. Within 2 hours they arrived with my car.
There was however a dented door and cracked rear bumper, to which I refused taking the car. They kindly offered to take $100 off of the price or they could take the car back and have it repaired. Being that it was a lease and I did not want to be hit with fees on the car return, I let them take it back.
At this point I highly doubted that given the damages they could keep with the promised delivery date, I was wrong!!! As promised they brought the car to my job and both the severely dented door and cracked bumper were like new! Being that I have a lot of experience with patch up jobs and real repairs...I was speechless!!!
At the end of the day I would recommend this company to anyone looking looking to ship their vehicle across country. NY to CA is as far a distance as you can go and at $1250 in an open trailer it was worth it! From the moment I live chatted to receive quote information, to the phone calls and texts during shipping, to the delivery I was pleased with the level of ease of communication. I was kept informed throughout the entire process and reassured that my car was in good care. Thank you for making my transition to CA much easier than I imagined!!!
